Omega - Support Information
Page Updated: 11-3-14
The datalink utility (screenshots) allows exporting of the Omega database to 3rd party applications using intermediate ASCII files. It also allows one importing option - balance and credit terms for a customer can be imported into the customer database.
IMPORTANT: The datalink utility is no longer officially supported and no further development is planned, because it no longer appears to be in use.
The Omega database schema is available via data dictionary files (DDFs). Older versions of Omega shipped with DDFs for Crystal Reports; later versions also came with DDFs for relational database access tools that use ODBC/JDBC. Both mechanisms allow you to query and extract Omega data for importing into a different database or application.
Support4Omega offers support for extracting the Omega database - ODBC/JDBC DDFs can be created for most earlier Omega versions, or customized tools can be created for one-off or periodic extracting/exporting.
